look, i’m priceless! Handbook on how to assess your artistic organisation

Written by Vassilka Shishkova and published by IETM — International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts — in 2017, this handbook guides arts organisations through the key steps of evaluation. IETM is one of the most established European networks in the independent performing arts sector, lending the publication solid credibility as a peer-tested field resource. The handbook is a recommended companion to Webinar #3 — Foundation of Impact Monitoring and Evaluation — providing the concrete methodological tools that the video introduces conceptually.

The document is structured in three parts:

• the foundations of evaluation (why, what, how to plan),
• a practical toolbox of quantitative and qualitative methods (surveys, interviews, focus groups, observation, case studies), 
• and an annex with ready-to-use templates. 

A brief "shortest guide to self-evaluation" makes it accessible even for organisations with limited time or prior experience.

Published in 2017, some external references and tool recommendations are now nearly a decade old and several links may no longer be active. The core methodology remains sound and widely referenced, but treat the specific resource suggestions as a starting point rather than a current directory.
