A Time in Pieces – on the occasion of Kyiv Perennial

Vision of the project

Kyiv Perennial project, conceived by the Visual Culture Research Center (Kyiv, Ukraine) the institutional organizer of the Kyiv Biennial, and Between Bridges Foundation (Berlin, Germany), is a follow-up of a pan-European edition of the Kyiv Biennial 2023 with dispersed exhibitions and public programs in a number of Ukrainian and EU cities. With a series of events and contemporary art exhibition for Berlin in Spring 2024, Kyiv Perennial’s strategy is based on approaches that merge sustainable artistic production, critical knowledge, and social engagement in the state of emergency, and is defined by the struggles that Ukrainian society is engaged with while fighting against Russia’s fascist invasion and a neo-colonial war of extermination.
