Between Bridges

Between Bridges is a foundation committed to humanism, solidarity, and the advancement of democracy. It supports the arts, LGBT+ rights and anti-racism work.   

Between Bridges is a non-profit exhibition space, initiated in 2006 by Wolfgang Tillmans. After its first chapter in London’s 223 Cambridge Heath Road from 2006–2011 and its second chapter in Berlin’s Keithstraße 15 from 2014–2019, its third chapter in Berlin’s Adalbertstraße 43 begun in July 2022. Since its establishment, the gallery has held more than 50 collective exhibitions and personal projects, collaborating with such artists as Jenny Holzer, Ioana Nemes, Karol Radziszewski, Teo Hernandez, Lisa Herfeldt, Helga Paris, Apparatus 22 and others.

The foundation provides support for the artistic practices by organizing a residency for professional individual visual artists, artist duos or small groups working collaboratively. It provides an opportunity for studio work for five months and a one month exhibition or public presentation.
