XJAZZ

XJAZZ, born in 2014, has revolutionized the German jazz scene with its independent and grassroots spirit. The festival breaks conventions and expands the definition of jazz, providing a platform for artists, both established and emerging, to express themselves freely. Its diverse lineup spans a wide range of musical styles beyond traditional jazz. Festival‘s area is located in Berlin's vibrant Kreuzberg neighborhood and includes 12 venues.

From the onset, the festival has been conceived with an international outlook, ​with editions having already taken place in Reykjavik, Tel Aviv, Istanbul and Minsk. Other collaborations have taken place e.g. in Barcelona, Wroclaw, Budapest & Lisbon. ​ In 2020, XJAZZ! has reached the status of a live event and media platform that continuously pursues the aim to form a strong community around values such as curiosity, openness, diversity, inclusivity, improvisation, creativity, and true quality of music.​
