Creaio

Creaio is a cultural organisation based in Asturias, Spain. Its mission is to empower creators,
artists, professionals and creative and cultural organisations to progress alongside science and society.
Creaio’s vision is to create a more creative, sustainable and inclusive world through arts and culture.

Creaio is a start-up which has been consolidated as a cultural organisation in 2024. Its work started back in
2020, when its founder, Eva Maria Alvarez, created Creaio and started collaborating through Creaio with
different international projects as a freelancer. Since then, they have helped different individual professionals
and organisations from the creative, cultural, educational and social sectors to find EU funding for projects
committed to the society and the planet. At the regional and national level, they have helped Spanish music
venues and theater associations such as the Theatre Jovellanos and the Philharmonic Society of Gijon to
develop projects and create intersectoral collaborations. At the European and international level, they have
developed and managed different projects from different EU funding programmes such as Erasmus+,
Erasmus+ Sport, Creative Europe, Switch Asia and Horizon Europe. Its network of members work for
different creative and cultural sectors, as well as the environmental, social and technology sectors, in
different countries (Spain, Austria, Belgium and Italy).
