Center for Ukrainian Initiatives in Culture, Politics and Economics

The NGO "Center for Ukrainian Initiatives in Culture, Politics and Economics" (Vienna, Austria) was founded in 2015. The NGO's activities are spread throughout Austria. The goals of the Center for Ukrainian Initiatives from the very beginning were 

• maximizing the potential of Ukrainians living abroad for the development of democratic principles of the Ukrainian state and building civil society in Ukraine;
• creating a positive image of Ukraine in Austria and popularizing Ukrainian culture. 

In order to achieve the goals of the NGO, the following tools were envisaged, in particular 

• planning, organizing and conducting lectures, open forums, presentations and other similar events;
• planning and organizing events in the field of cultural diplomacy. 

In 2015, the Center for Ukrainian Initiatives initiated and organized the first multidisciplinary festival of Ukrainian culture in Austria in the history of bilateral Ukrainian-Austrian relations UStream Fest. Since its inception, the festival has become a leading event of Ukrainian culture and art in Austria. From 2015 to 2023, 5 festivals took place (almost 40 events in 24 top locations, which gathered about 5000 international visitors). About 100 Ukrainian artists took part in the festival
