UNION DES UKRAINIENS DE FRANCE (UNION OF UKRAINIANS OF FRANCE)
This is a large reputable non-profitable organisation founded in 1949. Its activities have many directions, among which the main ones are the dissemination and preservation of Ukrainian culture in France, countering Russian propaganda and protecting Ukrainian identity among Ukrainian migrants and their children. The organisation has many subsidiaries who deal with specific sectors of activity, including culture, science, and history. Also, thanks to its long history, the organisation has many contacts in the public sector, among public figures and politicians, artists, the press and influencers. In the first season of the Babylon Villeneuve project, UNION DES UKRAINIENS DE FRANCE was the project's media partner, spreading the word about the screenings and inviting important guests to attend. In 2024, we want to deepen our cooperation and use even more opportunities to make this partnership bring the project more visibility and engagement of public figures.
Among the recent cultural activities of the UNION DES UKRAINIENS DE FRANCE are the following:
- An exhibition of photographs on the theme of Ukraine at Massy,
- Ukrainian embroidery day at Champs de Mars,
- Among other regular demonstrations, there was an on-site demonstration in Strasbourg (European Parliament) to support the recognition of Russia as a sponsor of terrorism, accompanied by numerous art posters and performances (demonstrations gather up to 6000 people, who are the target audience of Ukrainian cultural projects)
- information support for the Babylon Villeneuve film screening project.
