The Ukrainian Association in Finland

The Ukrainian Association in Finland operates since 1997 and is the only Finnish NGO that successively implements Ukrainian cultural projects. It runs the annual Ukrainian Film Days since 2016 that showcases the best Ukrainian films, classics and contemporary, and actual filmmakers. The Ukraine Season multidisciplinary project was implemented in September-December 2023 for the first time. It included several events: Participation of the Ukrainian delegation at the Finnish Film Affair; Music of Ancient and Modern Ukraine concerts of the Ukrainian acclaimed ensemble Chorea Kozacky (Tampere, Helsinki); Ukrainian Program at the Helsinki Book Fair; a concert Diaries of Hope; Ukrainian Film Days; Zona performance of the Ukrainian Theater in Finland. The Ukraine Season was supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland, the city of Helsinki, and the Ukrainian Institute.
