Open Eye Gallery

Open Eye Gallery, founded in 1977 in Liverpool, is a leading not-for-profit photography space in the UK. The gallery champions photography as an accessible art form, producing exhibitions, collaborative projects, and university courses both locally and globally. Welcoming thousands of visitors annually, it leads the way in socially engaged photography. Notably, the gallery has forged strong international collaborations, including a national programme with China and Hong Kong, and its partnership with Ukrainian photographers, which was highlighted during the Euro Festival 2023 in Liverpool. Open Eye Gallery is now focusing on Eastern Europe, with upcoming projects such as the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 60th Biennale di Venezia.
