Odessa National Fine Arts Museum

Odessa National Fine Arts Museum was established in 1899. The main goal is the preservation and development of cultural heritage, promotion of aesthetic, scientific and public education of people based on the samples of unique artistic materials, property of the Ukrainian people and other peoples living in Ukraine. The museum is the main place of storage of unique monuments of spiritual culture on the basis of budgetary funding. The main task of the museum is to identify and collect the best examples of domestic fine art, their proper accounting and preservation, their study and introduction into the context of the development of world art. The object of the museum's activity is the collection and storage of the artistic and spiritual values of the peoples of Ukraine, solving the problems posed by the modern development of the spiritual process in the direction of awareness and understanding of the artistic and spiritual history of Ukraine as an important means of national consciousness.
