Metalab

Metalab (Ukraine) is an urban development laboratory in Ivano-Frankivsk that studies the needs of the city and the region, creates livable public spaces, and develops a community of like-minded people so that active citizens and urban development experts in the region it became more. Organization is engaged in thematic urban studies, subject and spatial design, organization implements architectural projects and create affordable housing for people who lost their homes as a result of Russian armed aggression. 

In its premises it has organized and is still continuing to realize the projects like City Scanning Session urbanism biennale, Makerspace Parasoka and Co-HATY – affordable housing project. 

Metalab is both a community united by an interest in city life, a desire to learn and improve the urban environment, and a physical platform for communication, urban research and events where the projects intersect and reinforce each other.
