ZMINA: Rebuilding provided 1.4 million euros to support Ukrainian artists and cultural organizations working alone, with national or non-Ukrainian partners. Selected program participants were able to create and showcase in Ukraine and Europe works that facilitate, promote or mediate public discourse on the topic of "rebuilding": identity, social norms, communities, relationships, and infrastructure. Intensive capacity-building of Ukrainian artists and cultural organizations, also open to public cultural offices, will support the sub-granting scheme, along with communication and dissemination in Ukraine and internationally.
The programme worked along two lines. Grants of up to €60,000 supported the creation of new collaborations and co-productions between European and Ukrainian cultural and artistic organisations. Grants of up to €10,000 supported more community-oriented projects directly in Ukraine without the need for a foreign partner.
ZMINA: Rebuilding is a project co-funded by the EU Creative Europe Programme under a dedicated call for proposals to support Ukrainian displaced people and the Ukrainian Cultural and Creative Sectors. The project is a cooperation between IZOLYATSIA (UA), Trans Europe Halles (SE) and Malý Berlín (SK).
